Accessible Information Standards
The Accessible Information Standard tells organisations how they should make sure that disabled patients receive information in formats that they can understand and receive appropriate support to help them to communicate. These standards include making sure that people get information in different formats if they need it, such as: large print, braille, easy read, email etc.
All organisations that provide NHS or adult social care must follow the Accessible Information Standard by law.
Further information can be found on NHS England’s website at: www.england.nhs.uk/ourwork/patients/accessibleinfo/
Please let the surgery know if you require any communication or information support needs.
Our website pages are designed so that you can change the style, size and colour of the font used, as well as the background colour. If you wish to do so, please click on the ‘Accessibility’ button at the bottom of the Home Page.
Our website can also be set to translate in a range of different language options in addition to English; this function is found at the bottom of the Home Page by clicking on the British flag
Disability Access
Access to our surgery is via the front door from the small car park where there is a designated disabled parking bay.
Our reception desk and all our clinical rooms (except one) are located on the ground floor of the building and are easily accessible by wheelchair users or people with mobility issues. There is also a disabled toilet and hearing loop at reception, if required.
Please advise a member of our Reception team if you require any assistance at the time of booking your appointment or when you arrive – this will help us ensure that any necessary accommodations can be put in place to ensure that you do not experience any difficulties when attending your appointment.
