Non-urgent advice: COVID-10 Notice
Due to the recent Corona Virus outbreak, we are receiving a high volume of medication requests that we cannot process. We are unable to issue prescriptions early or prescribe extra medication ‘just in case’.
We are unable to prescribe paracetamol just because you cannot buy this over the counter, or inhalers that are not part of your regular repeat medication
We understand this is a worrying time for everyone but please be mindful that the pharmacies are under a lot of strain and are struggling, we do not want them to be like the supermarkets. If we were to issue medication ‘just in case’, this could result in people who do require it as part of their regular on-going medication, not being able to get it. If you do not need it, please do not order it
If you have not set up electronic prescribing, please contact the surgery to set up a nominated pharmacy for us to send your medication to. You can order your repeat medication through your nominated pharmacy, please speak with them for more details. Additionally, you can order your repeat medication by downloading the NHS app on your smartphone or tablet. You can also register on Patient Access where you will also be able to order your repeat medication. Please do not come to the surgery to order your medications or collect prescriptions. We do not accept requests for repeat prescriptions over the phone.
Your chemist may be able to arrange your repeat prescription with us on your behalf.
You can use our online repeat prescription service if you are signed up with a username and password (available from reception).
