When you have a test of any kind, you will be given an indication of how long you should expect to wait for the results. Please bear this mind before contacting the surgery.
You can get test results either by viewing them online (via the NHS app) or by contacting the surgery on 0161 998 2503 (after 2pm). If you have a mobile phone and have consented to receive communication from the Practice, you are able to request to receive test results via SMS messaging.
The NHS app is also an efficient way to access your results – for more information, please use this link: Log in – NHS App Online (service.nhs.uk). If you do not have full access to this feature, please speak to a member of our Reception team.
Alternatively, you can request results via Patient Access (Patient Access – GP appointments & prescriptions online) providing you have an account already set up. Please speak to a member of our Reception team should you require support with this.
Please note that our Reception staff are not qualified to provide any comments on results, and will only give out results to the person they relate to (or to the person with whom proxy access has been granted) in line with our policies around confidentiality and data protection. In addition, they will not be able to provide results of any tests which were not requested through the GP surgery – you would need to contact the relevant hospital directly for those results.
